About Us:

  • We are a Bible-based, Christian Church.
  • DBC Main purpose is to provide a platform for people to connect with God through Jesus Christ, the Saviour and Lord,
  • We aim to add value in our communities and to South Africa by introducing Jesus Christ as well as Christian principles and values.
  • We believe a person is a spirit, living in a body and possesses a soul.
  • Worship to God the Father, through the Son Jesus Christ, in Spirit and in Truth, is a Spiritual communication between a Christian and God.
  • We believe worship is the highest form of Prayer.
  • Christian Worship is the expression of love by the reborn spirit (heart of man) towards our Heavenly Father.
  • Praise should be the mark (or flag) of the people of God.
  • Everyone is welcome to come and experience God’s Kingdom.
  • People attending our Church must be free to worship Jehovah.
  • We aim to create an environment conducive to God’s presence.
  • We need to protect our environment to ensure order is maintained.
  • God saves and heals His people and He can use us in the process.
  • Reverence and adoration atmosphere supported by Word of God.
  • Principles and systems of the Kingdom of God must be exercised.
  • Worldly system should not be adopted as it has already failed.

Message From Senior Pastor Sam Mukansi

Love as a closed triangle

Love

  • We agree that Love is a strong, dynamic, and Spiritual force that can be expressed emotionally and can be felt and/or shared.
  • We believe that God is Love and one receives this (His) Love at the point of receiving Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord.
  • The love we show to others mirrors the extent of our appreciation of the love we received from the Cross.
  • Challenge: We believe that our Love to other people should be unconditional (we have received His unconditional Love).
  • We understand that Love is based on a commitment as it can be challenged heavily by life circumstances.
  • We believe Love protects, nurtures and nourishes.
  • We also believe that there must be harmony and balance (not necessarily equal) between The Love for God, Love for His people, and Love for Work or passion for purpose/fulfillment (including God’s work).
  • Love creates possibilities for forgiveness.
  • Faith works by love and love never fails!

Respect

  • We strongly believe that a person is created in the image of God (Spirit) and God’s value is always in that person.
  • In a way, respecting a person can be honouring the image of God in that person and there’s no loss in displaying respect.
  • Though honour accorded to people may differ according to different reasons including merit (earned), we agree that basic respect should be given to all persons (even when they differ with us).
  • We understand that respect forms the basic human right that allows tolerance and diversity to be appreciated and exercised
  • We also understand that not everyone will receive or value the respect given (by us) to them but that should not deter us from expressing our respect to people.
  • We agree that respect waters unity and that unity does not necessarily mean uniformity. This unity can disarm conflict and it is this unity that attracts blessings.
  • We also understand that respect can be the foundation for love, especially where differences  between people exist.
  • Our uncompromised choices do not need to mean disrespect.

Diligence

  • Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do.
  • If we are to do any activity at DBC, we have to give it our best effort, do it carefully and do it excellently as unto God.
  • Without the understanding of one’s purpose, motivation for diligent living and drive can be seriously challenged.
  • We believe God desires for His children (us) to be successful in every aspect of their lives and they need to work diligently.
  • Diligence can assist in reducing or eliminating error and enhancing people’s positive results in their daily endeavours.
  • We believe we must give God the best input as this will result in a culture of us being generally purpose-driven and persistent in whatever we do for our families, our communities and for the kingdom of God.
  • Diligence can be a combination of effort and patience.
  • We understand that laziness and sluggishness are not part of what we represent and we will all support one another to avoid them. We aim to engage and address everything with love.
  • The ultimate impact of diligence is felt most by the recipients.
  • Diligence attracts reward, even from God.
